The physics syllabus at IQera is meticulously crafted to not only impart subject knowledge but also to foster a profound comprehension of the fundamental concepts crucial for mastering the discipline. At IQera, our curriculum revolves around these pivotal “Key Concepts” in physics. These concepts encapsulate indispensable ideas, theories, principles, and mental tools that serve as the building blocks for students to cultivate a profound understanding of the subject, enabling them to establish connections across various topics.

Weight and Lesson Plans Allocation

The chart below shows the approximate weightage that is allocated to each of the assessment objectives are summarised below.

A greater weightage of 63% is dedicated to the skills (which include, information handling, problem solving, experimental and investigative skills) as compared to the 37% that is dedicated to knowledge and understanding.

Flow of Lessons

Each chapter is delivered in two revisions:

Revision 1 — Learning Outcomes

Each lesson is designed to be quite interactive and also precise enough to be delivered in a thirty minutes time span. Two to five learning outcomes are covered in each lesson. The first fifteen to twenty minutes are dedicated to content delivery, and the remaining ten to fifteen minutes, to the formative assessment. This revision is focused on covering all the learning outcomes of a chapter.

Revision 2 — Preparation According To The Exam Perspective

The purpose of this revision is to achieve the following objectives:

  •     Understanding the question statement.
  •     Identifying assessment objectives linked to the question.
  •     Using principles and concepts learned in the lessons to deal with the exam questions.
